Padiham town centre’s spectacular Christmas Lights Switch On and Fireworks Display returns on Friday 24th November 2017.
The fun starts at 5.30pm with fairground rides and a Christmas Crafts Market in and around Padiham Town Hall. Pick up a unique Christmas gift, have fun on the Tombola, support a local charity, and enjoy some mulled wine and mince pies while you browse the great stalls on offer.
At 6pm a local School choir will sing Christmas Carols, getting everyone in the festive spirit, before the Blessing of the Crib at 6.20pm. Mayor of Padiham Town Councillor Ken Buckley will be joined by a very special guest to switch on Padiham’s beautiful Christmas Lights at 6.30pm, but you’ll have to come along to find out who! To celebrate the switch on there will then be a stunning firework display to amaze the crowds.
Santa is even taking time out from his busy schedule to be in his grotto from 7.15pm so you can tell him whether you’ve been naughty or nice and what presents are on your list!
The whole celebration will be hosted by 2BR and it promises to be a fantastic festive evening for all the family.
(Please note for the safety of visitors there will be some road closures in operation during the event).
Don’t forget Padiham Farmers & Craft Market (last Sunday of the month from March to November) will have a special Christmas Market on Sunday 10th December. Based in Padiham Town Hall car park, you’ll be able pick up festive foodie gifts, treats and essentials from local producers, just in time for Christmas.
Padiham town centre is easy to get to and has free parking.
