October 17, 2019 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

Delivered in partnership with the Padiham Townscape Heritage scheme and master plasterer William Oakes, this free training opportunity will provide participants with an insight into the use of lime mortar. Practical demonstrations will be given in hot lime and mixing along with a tour of Gawthorpe Hall to see examples of 17th Century lime plastering. Participants will have the opportunity to gain hands on experience in preparing walls, materials and tools as part of a practical lime pointing session.
