Step Back in Time: Explore Padiham’s Heritage with a Guided Walk and More!
Unveil Padiham’s rich history with a guided walk through the town with local historian Duncan Armstrong, discovering hidden gems and fascinating stories along the way! Wednesday 11th September at 6.30pm – 8pm, leaving from the Padiham Library.
Explore the fabulous historic rooms of Gawthorpe Hall and discover the story of the Shuttleworth family. You can also see the new Gawthorpe Textiles Collection displays and visit to Victorian kitchen in the basement and meet the housekeeper. Outside you can explore the grounds and visit the Walled Garden, also open for the day. Saturday 14th September 12pm – 4pm
Visit Padiham Library to explore the Art Deco architectural design, view their photo exhibit, and continue your journey through the town’s vibrant past! Open Mon 9am-5pm / Wed 9am-7pm / Thurs 9am-1pm / Fri 9am-5pm / Sat 9am-1pm.
Discover the Padiham Archives Museum which showcases photographs and memorabilia from Padiham throughout the decades. Open Tuesdays 10am – 2pm, located in Padiham Town Hall. Stay tuned for the Archives Annual Exhibition that takes place every September.
