Padiham is open for Christmas!

We kicked off the festive season this year with the Padiham Christmas Light Switch on, organised by Padiham Town Council.

Hundreds of people flocked to see the dazzling live stage show in front of the town hall that was lit up with snowflakes. A fantastic line-up of local talent included the wonderful Padiham Community Choir, Burnley Pantomime Society brought some Christmas magic, fun and musical comedy. We were also joined by performers Jenefer Love, Louis DeVere, Gavin Young Jolie Forrest and Mr Fiz-Eek who kept the crowd entertained with vocal impressions and costume characters.

The Giant Snow Globe filled the stage inside the ballroom where the Christmas market was in full swing, selling gifts, souvenirs, and unique handcrafted items. Outside was the Festive funfair and food stalls.

For the event finale, we were joined by the big man himself… Santa! Who switched on the lights throughout the town centre and firework display.
