Padiham on Parade 2022 Highlights!

Padiham on Parade was back with a bang this year, taking place on 25th and 26th June 2022.

The the streets of Padiham were lined with Union Jack flags as the town centre was transported back to the 1940’s for a fantastic weekend of quality entertainment.

Dapper Dan lit up the town hall plaza, playing 40’s hits that had the crowd jiving and swing dancing. Musical entertainment and live singers were playing from the ballroom featuring Cafe Rene and decorated with wartime memorabilia. Outside the ballroom was a life size replica Hurricane aeroplane that set the scene for this fantastic weekend. There was a variety of stalls and attractions including military re-enactors, vintage vehicles, fairground rides, Punch and Judy and birds of prey.

The event continued on Sunday, featuring the parade from Memorial Park down to the town centre. Cadets, schoolchildren, and community groups came together and were joined by VIP guests. The parade was led by the oldest civilian pipe band in the UK, The Accrington Pipe Band which was a spectacular sight to see.

Padiham on Parade will return as an annual event next year on the 24th and 25th June 2023.
