Padiham Remembers
It is the time of year again when the people of Padiham come together to remember all those lost and injured in all conflicts.
The Padiham Poppy Appeal collection week will start on the 3rd November until the 9th November at Padiham Tesco’s. Wreath will also be available at Padiham Town Hall from 11:00am until 1:00pm. Last year over £3,524 was raised during Collection Week. There are several events planned for this week starting with a Remembrance Service at St. Joseph’s Park Hill School on Friday 8th November.
A Remembrance Concert is being held on Friday 8th November, in the Town Hall Ballroom, to raise funds for the Poppy Appeal, this is almost sold out already with very few tickets remaining. The Sunday Service is being held at the Unitarian Church this year followed by our usual Service at the Memorial. To end the week, all local Primary Schools will gather at St. Leonard’s for a final Remembrance Service on the 11th November.
A big thank you to everyone that has volunteered to help make the 2019 Poppy Appeal a success.
